Kamryn Inez made into the world on April 18,2003 at 9:46am by repeat c-section. She was bigger than both brothers, weighing
9lb 9oz and was 20 inches long.
She was so pink and healthy looking, we were not expecting to hear she had a heart problem and was being sent to a Childrens
hospital in Washington DC right away. It was the WORST time of our lives. Mommy was stuck in the hospital recovering for the
c-section and couldn't go be with her little girl for 2 days.
We had no idea what the problem was...after an echocardiogram, the Dr.'s discovered she had multiple holes in her heart
(3) and pulmonary valve stenosis ( a narrowing of the heart valve that carries blood to her lungs)
Mommy was reunited with her baby girl on Easter sunday, and we got to bring her home from DC on Monday. Her heart was
working great but will most likely need a angeoplasty type procedure by the time she reaches 6 months old.
Her last Echocardiogram on May 13th showed one of the holes almost completly closed, and another close behind it. The
last hole is expected to get very tiny, and not be of any concern. She goes back for another Echo on Aug. 13th to see how
the valve is doing. We are praying everything is still fine.
