We are the Tripp family! We began way back in 1992, when Jackie met George...He was the manager of a grocery store, she
had just got a job as a cashier. What happend was a whirl-wind!
Jackie: I had just turned 18, the day after my birthday I was in a car accident and
wound up with a broken nose, fractured cheekbone and two black eyes. I had to work with sunglasses on for a few weeks.About
a week after I started the job, the co-manager,George,came back from a trip to Scotland, and the moment he walked in the door,
it was love at first sight for me! He used to wear a bunch of keys on his belt, and I could hear him walking around the store,
I was always looking for him.I did not hide my affection for him, but i think he was holding back because i was only 18.
George: I returned from a trip to Scotland and noticed a new cashier. She was very
pretty, black eyes and all...and I could tell she had a thing for me. But she was only 18...I was almost 33!
Jackie: He invited me to his apartment a few times, but when I would get there he would
be gone...must have had something come up at the last minute and had to leave...
George: I invited her to my apartment a few times, but then would chicken out and go
to the bar accross the street and watch her knock on the door and leave...she was only 18!!
Jackie: I gave him one last chance...knocked on the apartment door....the rest is history!
George: I invited her one last time...decided to listen to my gut...she knocked on
the door...the rest is history!
We met in March, Started dating in April, moved in togeather in May..George popped the question in June, we set the date
for January 9,1993
